FTP and PDF Downloads

HI,

I am trying to put a pdf file on my ftp manager so that clients can then use the link on my web site to download the brochure.

I have uploaded the pdf file via ftp manager and added the link to my website, when doing the link I used ftp and not http with the name of the pdf folder uploaded, but i am not sure if this correct, as it doen't show any brochure or pdf file to download.

Can anyone please help me?

link as normal with http with the .pdf extension

Thanks for a quick reply I am a complete novice at this but still enjoying the learning curve.

I understand the link bit but unsure what I should write.

Currently it says ftp//Laminates Web.PDF which is the name of the file I uploaded via ftp manager in tools.

Am I barking up the wrong tree?

The link will be something like

http://www.mywebsite.com/mydocname.pdf
