Hi all,
I am placing an mp3 file on my site like this: http://mysite.thesoundfile.mp3 .
My goal is to let the end-user listen to this mp3 file online ONLY, so I would like to PREVENT him/her from having the option of saving the file because my ultimate goal is to sell the same file as paid download in the future. Do you think my approach described above is safe enough to just open the player in the user's browser instead of also giving him the option to save it to his computer?
Conversely, how do you create a direct download of an mp3 file instead of opening it in a music player on the user's browser? I hope I have articulated my 2 questions clearly enough. I look forward to your helpful replies. Thanks in advance.
