    page backgrounds

So, I'm in a creative mood today! Can anyone help with this: I have a Serif publication program (Page Plus) & I can make some super background colour combinations. How can I incorporate a background made in this way to a BV page? There is a "web publishing" tool in this software but I haven't yet figured out how to use it.....No expert, me!!
    All/ANY help appreciated,
    david

    Re: page backgrounds

If you open a page in blue voda and right click on the page and find page properties, you will find the background tab where you can insert an image into the page as a background ..

just as a side note, you will require a voda hosting account as well, if you do not already have one, in order to publish your page .. your publishing details will be emailed along to you with receipt of your payment for your hosting account order.

Tks LadyEye why didn't I think of that??
I have just opened a VH account and there are already 1 or 2 pages "up"
I guess I'm in the "tweaking" stage right now!

OK I tried your suggestion....& it works (after a fashion!) BUT when I preview the page it comes up with no background? Any ideas...?
          Please :)

Yes, just right click on the page, properties, and reinsert the color or imge for your page background .. have a look at the file name and shorten the name of the image if it isnt showing . also be sure of it being a .gif, .jpg, or .png for the background .. also you may have to allow this at the top of your computer screen .. you might see where you need to click to allow in preview mode

OK Tks so much for all your help....somehow I found a way! The problem was it was a WMF file, whatever the h*** that is?? Anyway I do it now by converting to .png & inserting as image & stretching - think it'll work,

okay good .yw. be sure on the stretching bit, might distort what it is you are doing .. but playing around I am sure you will get the look you want .. page backgrounds will tile .. and will tile all dependent on each viewers screen resolution .. but you have a look and see how it pans out for you .

                  Re: page backgrounds

yeah, the "tiling" has frustrated me for some time so that's why I import an image & it seems to work. Sometimes we beginners stumble on a way by default, lol?
While I have your attention may I ask for your help on an Email issue? I'll post a new thread, ok?
