Error 12111 when trying to publish

Hi does anyone know how to fix this error or what causes it. I recently tried Soho which seemed to affect some of my original files; the index lost its extension (i've put it back) . Could this be related? Thanks

Need a link to see your page. If you tried to install Soho over a BV site, you may be unhappy... :(

Re: Error 12111 when trying to publish

        Thanks for feedback.
I haven't used the program for a while but I seem to remember that my index was previously saved as index.php but after trying to learn soho without much success i thought i'd go back to my old home page where I seemed have some idea what I was doing. Anyway thats when i noticed the index had lost the php extension.
Also more info the 12111 error says operation was not completed because the session was aborted (there is NO delay between pressing publish and the error).
My link goes to the soho version of the page which i guess was "installed over a BV site" Tom.
Final info I've recently installed Kaspersky anti virus. Blue voda is on trusted list but could this be a factor.
