How to publish a pdf ebook?

Can't quite work this out. Here's what I've done so far...

1/. Created and saved a pdf file (ebook)
2/. Opened a blank BV page and saved it as ebook name.
3/. published blank page
4/. Created a link from an existing page to the blank page

I sort of thought that when I clicked on the link the pdf ebook would open. but alas, i am doing something wrong, right?

please advise me how I should be doing it...
