    A second website/domain?

VH has been hosting my kennel website for over a year and I have been very happy with it. That one is at http://tajasiberians.net

Recently I have started my own venture into graphic ads and digital photo editing primarily for other show kennels. I have just added a couple pages to my current site which are here: http://tajasiberians.net/vanillamoon.html

I am trying to figure out how I can make a stand alone website altogether that will not show the kennel website?
What do I do with the seperate domain name for the new site to get it connected to my blue voda account as a seperate website?
    Any help?
    Thanks

You have to buy another domain name. Voda charges something like $20.

Now as I understand it, for the second domain or more, you don't have to pay extra monthly charges. One monthly charge should cover more than one domain.

But you do pay for another domain name.

I understand I have to have the second domain but I'm not sure how to direct my builder to publish to one site or the other?

When you register your domain name, they send you a server IP address, user name, password, etc. So when you click the Publish key, and when the window appears, fill it out with the new info.

I think that's how it happens.

The "Add-on" tutorial here answers this. Basically, you use cPanel to create an add-on domain which creates a new folder within your existing public_html account. You then create your new domain's index page and any additional pages and save and publish them to that folder.

            Hi Melissa,

You dont need anything else except a new domainname.

Buy it from VodaHost and request VH yo set it up for you.

Once it is set up you can then goto cPanel>Add-on Domain and add your newdomainname.

A Folder will be auto created in your "public_html" under the newdomain.

The new folder under your newdomainname represent your 2nd website.

Create directories and sub-directories in your new website folder.

Publish your index page to the same folder: "public_html/newdomain"

I would like to know what directories and sub directories are so I can create those directories and sub directories so I can publish my page to it so it can be seen in the right folder instead of the wrong one because when I published to it I was not aware of the directories and sub directories that has to be created.

You can publish all your pages to public_html including even your images.

But in order to be better organized, you can create directories and
sub-directories under public_html. In other words, have your pages in
different groups with the "like" pages, make the corresponding directories
and publish those pages in their own respective groups
                (or directories or folders).
