    Missing php files

    Hi,
For some reason I can no longer open any bv files on my computer that have forms in (ie) php. They did work fine but am wondering if the recent upgrade has hidden them?
All others (html) seem to work ok.

    Anyone any ideas?
    Thanks

    Re: Missing php files

I think it is a problem with the new version 11, I spent most of yesterday trying to get an answer, Naveldesign was so kind to respond.
I think it is a matter of rebuilding your php pages again.

      Re: Missing php files

      Maybe I don't understand it.

But isn't BV supposed to work with just *.bvp. It's a proprietary
file format. Any browser would have a hard time undertanding it.

And it's only the processing of publishing the bvp file
that converts it into html and php file depending on
how you have set up properties for the file before sending
      to your server.

Whenever you save a file, save it with no extension. Period.
BV puts a bvp extension when it saves the file on your disk.
SO BV saves you four characters from typing. Good old BV. How can
      you beat that?

If any one cannot see the files, I suggest you use good old
Bill Gates Window and see where the file were saved. And then
give the forum a detailed description of what you want it to happen and
what you actually saw it happened.

I think that would help you and others. The actual and the expected
must be the same. Otherwise we have a problem.

When you open a file in BV, see up above in the small window,
where it's opening the file from and see where it's saving.

I think that way you would have a better picture and any discrepancy
in the actual and expected, you would be able to explain it
      better on this forum.

        Re: Missing php files

What they are saying is that they can't open files that contain forms or any other php code (that is, pages that are set to have the .php extension when published)

This seems to be a bug in BV 11 and that's the reason (fixing bugs) that it was labeled as BETA right from the start.
