    Page Conflicts.

I am experiencing some problems with duplicate URL's and I can't work out how to delete them. For example, I have named & saved my home page as 'index' and I link subsequent pages to http://www.mydomain.com/ however I can access the home page online with either http://www.mydomain.com/ or http://www.mydomain.com/index.html
This is causing conflicts with Google as they see it as a duplication.

Also there are other conflicts with pages that are bookmarked. ie: Google wants me to delete http://www.mydomain.com/#top but I cant find that file anywhere. Google consider anything before the # character as a duplicate?! (hope this is making sense) I have worked on this for a few days now but I still cannot work out how to fix the problems. I have asked Google but as usual they don't answer, I have gone into Google forums and there are other people scratching their heads with the same problem. I am going a bits nuts over this!!!

    Any clues?

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Page Conflicts.

#top referes to a BOOKMARK not a page.

Use a 301 redirect to connonize your domain in an htacess file. When you link to your site even in navigation only use the http://www.domian.com/
    dont add the index.html
