1- In Cpanel I created a sub-directory in my public_html
2- Still in Cpanel, I protected this directory with a log in and password
3- In BV, I made the page to be protected and I loaded it into that new directory
4- I made a hyperlink text in the index page to that protected page
5- I tried it in the browser ...and it works
6- After, in BV, because I donΒ΄t want that hyperlink text but a login box, I inserted a login box in the index page and I created a database in that box properties and I saved it in the subdirectory ./htpasswds
1st question: ./htpasswds is the whole root? Do I need to complete this (eg: domain name/etc/htpasswds ?) or BV assumes that ./ is the entire root?
2nd question: If I have already created a login and a password in a Cpanel database why do I need to create another database in the login box properties in BV?
3th question: I guess the database created in C panel is not the same database that I created in BV. How do I do to have a common database (if this is necessary)
4th question: Now what do I do to left the login and password fields clean and ready to admit the login and password words in the browser (because I want to delete the hyperlink text)?
5th question: Is there any tutorial in BV about this too (not in Cpanel)?
Can someone answer me to these questions or something more that I missed?
Thank you
Rui
