    pdf problem

Can anyone shed any light on whats gone wrong here?
I have uploaded my pdf's to the FTP Manager and ensured that they are all saved in lower case plus no gaps etc. On this and related pages they all work....

but here the only one that works is middle bottom (1000 system), all the others fail with the warning: The file is damaged and could not be repaired.

They all open perfectly in acrobat.
Im completely at a loss here so any help would be much appreciated.

Try saving, linking, and uploading as http://www.addagrip.co.uk/brochure.pdf instead....

      Re: pdf problem

      Hi Vasili,
Sorry I havent explained myself very well.

      On this page..

www.addagrip.co.uk/base2.html the relevent pdf downloads without hitch.
However, having followed the self same process only the middle bottom pdf on the page www.addagrip.co.uk/brochure.html works, the rest say...the file is damaged and could not be repaired. Any clues as to what I have done or can do to put these right?

      Thanks alot

Obviously not, Terry .... there seems to be a disconnect in following formatting protocols, as well as the oversight that the file corruption is likely due to the poor connection or glitch in the upload processing.

He would be better off simply changing the file extensions as properly suggested and uploading them all securely once and for all ..... rather than perpetute a document conflict the Acrobat Reader cannot resolve.

            Re: pdf problem

Ive reloaded the pdf's into FTP on numerous occasions and Ive even gone as far back as re exporting them from .indd files, making them smaller and web compliant but i still get the same result, can anyone talk me through what else i can do here.
This is the first site i have built with pdf downloads so its all new to me.

            Thanks in advance guys.

On this page www.addagrip.co.uk/brochure.html these pdfs open:

              http://www.addagrip.co.uk/pdf/addastone_treepit.pdf

              http://www.addagrip.co.uk/pdf/1000_system.pdf

              http://www.addagrip.co.uk/pdf/protector.pdf

the others, all tagged the self same way, dont open and have the aforementioned warning.
No matter what i do none work.
In simple terms, what can i do.

It appears as if some are linked to an interim folder named "pdf" while other are not. Are you adding the "pdf" folder for organization purposes?
The is no need to have the docs/pdfs in a separate folder other than organization.
You can just FTP them to your public_html directory.
Try that with just one of the problem folders and see if that will correct the problem?
BTW, none of the above links work (404) for me.

                  Thanks Terry,
They didnt work because I was probably working my way around the problem and had extracted them out to try again.
Anyway....Problem solved and it was all down to file size. No Idea why but nothing worked until I got the size down to below 500kb then they all worked as they should have done in the first place.
Many thanks to those who tried to help me through this...got there in the end.
