ftp changes pages????

I am using FileZilla to ftp pages to the server but for some reason there are changes being made to my pages. Things like the apostrophy and dashes are changed to weird things like "Storey’s"
Any suggestions as to how to stop these changes. My client is not happy and I can not figure it out. Thank you. 3's

Use the Publish function. BV pages cannot be FTP'd.
