Width of a website

Hi,

I'm putting together this website www.absolute-holidays.com/facebook.php

And was wondering if the width that I've created is appropriate for most computer/laptop screens.

Simple question but I'm just new to web designing and just wanted to get it right the first time.

The website is not done yet just working on the main page.

The width was too wide for my screen. Set it to 1000 to optimize for most screen sizes.

Great looking site - are you sure you're a first-timer?

You also need to centre the pages for all screens & build your BV pages from the far left of your BV screen.
All looks to the right on my screen. This might help!
