First copy all the files of your account to the CD or DVD. # After that when you just open the page all should be like your old one. Please do not change the path of any files.

Jack please don't comment if you are unsure of what you are saying.
Don't aim for success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally.

No, you do not have to re-define the path. Just publish. The images are still on the server.
            Hi CarbonTerry

I have been mulling over your technique, and it seems pretty straightforward and practical.

I have not yet tackled the image management issue, and am pretty much throwing them into the public html "images" folder. When I look in it I see all my named images, as well as BV's own style of naming the images I am using. I don't know that I understand that yet, and that is not any issue at this time.

The comment/question I have to toss to you is this:

Your method in the quote above seems to deal with batch loading.
What about when one wants to add-edit-delete a single image; or two; or three?

It seems to me that one would have to interrupt the harmony of the batch load and singularly go through many steps, with a few images, to make those few images be in synchronization with the batch items.

Does that make sense, and am I on the right path of understanding?

Thank you kindly for your volunteer services on this forum.

            John

              Please explain batch load.

Re: Hot To Move Account to New Computer

When I publish a page I do not put the images in a separate images folder in the public_html. I merely publish.
However, I do have the option to "Use page name for image prefix" selected.
You can find that option here:
                Tools/Options/Publish/
What that does is to keep your images organized by page in the public_html directory.
Failing to do that will allow your images to be placed alpha-numeric in your public_html folder.
If you have a lot of images it will be difficult to manage them.

Re: Hot To Move Account to New Computer

Sounds cool! I'll give it a try. I am just about ready to load a lot of pages. I am just now touching them up individually, and I will give this option a whirl. Thank you for the idea.

Batch load means a lot of images being manipulated at the same time. I guess it is another name for "multiple files". I think I picked it up off of another application I use, but cannot think of the name at the moment. A batch of cookies? LOL
