How can I channell traffic to my sight through major search engines

When ever I try to go to my sight by using the website address: www. houston-hondas.com I only get other peoples sites on the listings. Including the major dealerships here in houston. I try on msn and the only way I can get there is through yahoo.com or by doing a google search and type in the complete url. People who can use my services aren't going to know how to do that and they will use certain keywords like: houston or hondas or new accords in houston or best price in houston for hondas. I have included all these in my metatags and keywords but still am not getting my sight on the top twenty. Will I have to pay extra cash to get a service which specializes in pushing sites like mine to the top? It seems like the world wide web does not recognize me and i do not know what is wrong. I used the keyword generator but everytime I try a search I am coming up short. Any advice will be appreciated and attempted.
