HTML code for moving to another part of page

Hello folks,

I'm a bit new to website design, so forgive what is probably a simple question.

I would like to create a 'Contents' type list at the top of a page, and have each item be a link that will jump straight to that content when clicked.

Can anyone clue me in as to how to do this please?
