How to clean up host directory files?

I have a lot of garbage files on the host that were part of my learning curve and should not be there. They are not relevant to the site and I shouldn't have uploaded them to the host directory years ago.
How do I clean up the files on the host so the only files that reside there are what is needed for the site? Is there a simple and quick way to do it?

    Thanks

Hi!, - You can delete any unwanted files using the File Manager in your cPanel - Login to cPanel, click File Manager and there-in you can delete anything you no longer need.

      Thanks for the reply!

Is there some easy way to sort the "relevant to the site files" from the "not relevant to the site files" ? I have like hundreds that could be deleted, but Im not sure which ones they are.
