    Misbehaving web site!

    Hi All,
Has anyone any ideas as to why sometimes my web site will develop a mind of its own and navigation buttons will swap titles? What actually happens is that a button text on one page may swap itself to another or change to an image such as a side panel colour bar. Reloading the page to the server will clear the problem on one page, only to have it recur on another at the same time. Same result with explorer or Firefox, but google chrome seems worse. Leaving it alone for several hourse sometimes helps, and then it will be ok again for months. Any suggestions?
    Cheers Chris

    Re: Misbehaving web site!

The issue stands with how you create pages. You are probably using the "Save As" comand to create a page from an existing one. When you do so, objects on both pages have the same identity, and if you modify something in one of the pages, it will affect the (online) other one.

    Solution:

For each of the problematic pages "cut" the problematic objects, then paste them back using the Paste tool from the top toolbar.
This will result in assigning the objects new ID's so they will not be affected by changes in other pages.

Republish and Refresh your browser to test.

Thanks for the tip. Have now rewritten entire site from scratch. Fingers crossed!
