Trouble With Paypal Buttons Showing On My Website

Hello all. I have been a long time user of VodaHost (since 2007). I love the BlueVoda website builder.

I am an artist who paints mainly aviation, space, railroad and military subjects. My website is: http://www.markkarvon.com/

I offer prints for sale through my website. I use the paypal buttons available in Blue Voda. Lately, it seems the buttons only show up intermittantly. For example, here is a page where I am offering a print for sale: http://www.markkarvon.com/spaceshuttleendeavour.html

The first time I go to it the "Add To Cart" paypal buttons do not display. There is the little white box with a red "x" indicating there is an image that is not being shown. If I exit out of the page and go back in a few times, the buttons begin to display correctly. The problem is the same whether I view the website in Internet Explorer 9 or Chrome. Once the browser gets the site cached it seems the buttons display ok.

I do not know if it is related but the problem seemed to start when I followed the advice on indexing the image directory here: http://www.vodahost.com/web-hosting-...security.html/

I changed the setting to "no indexing" and immediately started to see problems with the paypal buttons displaying correctly. I changed the setting back to the default setting which was working for 5 years but I am still having a problem.

As I depend on the income from print sales for my living, I am very concerned that potential buyers will not see the paypal buttons correctly and therefore, not be able to make a purchase. Any wonkiness can destroy the trust factor. I know I would be reluctant to make a purchase on a website that did not seem to be rock solid.

Does anyone have an inkling what might be happening.

Re: Trouble With Paypal Buttons Showing On My Website

I seem to have it sorted. I am having to replace the buttons with one of my own design. The BlueVoda supplied buttons are in .gif format. For some reason this type of file does not seem to be working well for the Paypal buttons. I am now using .png files and they appear to be displaying satisfactorily. Thanks to those who may have looked.
