Hello all. I have been a long time user of VodaHost (since 2007). I love the BlueVoda website builder.
I am an artist who paints mainly aviation, space, railroad and military subjects. My website is: http://www.markkarvon.com/
I offer prints for sale through my website. I use the paypal buttons available in Blue Voda. Lately, it seems the buttons only show up intermittantly. For example, here is a page where I am offering a print for sale: http://www.markkarvon.com/spaceshuttleendeavour.html
The first time I go to it the "Add To Cart" paypal buttons do not display. There is the little white box with a red "x" indicating there is an image that is not being shown. If I exit out of the page and go back in a few times, the buttons begin to display correctly. The problem is the same whether I view the website in Internet Explorer 9 or Chrome. Once the browser gets the site cached it seems the buttons display ok.
I do not know if it is related but the problem seemed to start when I followed the advice on indexing the image directory here: http://www.vodahost.com/web-hosting-...security.html/
I changed the setting to "no indexing" and immediately started to see problems with the paypal buttons displaying correctly. I changed the setting back to the default setting which was working for 5 years but I am still having a problem.
As I depend on the income from print sales for my living, I am very concerned that potential buyers will not see the paypal buttons correctly and therefore, not be able to make a purchase. Any wonkiness can destroy the trust factor. I know I would be reluctant to make a purchase on a website that did not seem to be rock solid.
Does anyone have an inkling what might be happening.
