Publish problem

I cannot seem to accomplish the PUBLISH aspect. Firewall settings are all ok, but I still get the failure notice error 12014 FTP password:
The request to connect and log on to the FTP server could not be completed because the supplied password is incorrect.
Are the passwords for cPanel entry and FTP password supposed to be the same?
Also firewall settings are all ok.

The publishing password and the control panel password are the same, if you are having issues, you should open a support ticket.
