Best form of back up ???

Hi, could we get some advice on the best way to back up our site & more so the database we are developing.
In the short term the database will only run into megabytes, but we anticipate that it will eventually run into many gigabytes due to the large amount of images that will be up loaded onto the database. (This will mean far to much to download.) One of the databases we will have on the site will have about 15000 40k images. And we plan to have many more of similar size.
We would also need some way of stopping/protecting ourselves from members that could maliciously delete files. They would only be able to delete there own files, but other members would be sharing these files & could cause a problem if we cant restore them.
Do BV offer a service of a back up to mirror the site or maybe a static back up that would not be over written?, or might there be another suggestion. We know this will eventually have to go on its own server with a back up server, but what size do your servers run at these days.

    Thanks

    Chris.
    Regards Chris.
