add-on, subdomain Help Please

Hey guys, how is everything in this another busy day?

Anyway, my situation is as following:

I had a plan to put a personal portfolio containing my work in my web site, but I was following the add-on and subdomain tutorials but I didn't get the point. my web site is www.niteproduction.com, let say that the main page of my portfolio "which has to be protected by a password" would be www.niteproduction.com/portfolio.html. "that was the plan in the begining" but I saw people talking about about add-on and subdomains, and I thought maybe my portfolio could be in another domain name for example: www.niteportfolio.com or something related to nitepoduction.com.

Now the question is:

1 - in the add-on, should the domain name be already existing?
2 - can I have more details about subdomain? "the tutorial wasn't clear enough for me

Hi Nite,

An add on domain is one youve bought and registered fe ..niteproducer.com

And a sub domain you dont have to pay for its linked to your main domain name account ..fe...portfolio.niteproducer.com

You can have as many sub domains as you like

Thats how i understand it anyway lol
