FTP connection problems

When I try to connect to BlueFTP I keep getting the same error message:

The attemp to connect to the FTP server failed.
Last server response:
View trace window for more details: (Menu->Remote->TraceWindow)

I did that but all the trace window is saying is !!cannot connect.
Im pretty sure I've got all the right info filled out. Can someone please show me a way to fix this. I dunno, I might be missing a patch or an update or something. Thanx!

make sure...

1) username
2) password
3) IP address

are all correct...what is your domain name?

Yeah I just went back to the old welcome mail to make sure they were correct. My domain is www.wowthefenixrising.com. Im also having form problems on it right now but it doesnt bother me to much that they aren't working, lol.

1. can you login into your control panel?
2. can you publish a page? is it just FTP not working....if yes...download
and try SmartFTP from the below

Yup, I can login to the cp panel and publish the pages so i downloaded the smartFTP program, Im just having troubles learning how connect with that one to, lol. Is there a site that shows how to work this one?

ok, so I went to that site, watched all thier tutorial videos and read some of their manuals on how to connect but for some reason I still can't connect even with that program. Could my comp have some kinda of firewall keeping me from connecting to ftp programs? I still so new to all this but I know I'm putting the right info in all the required fields to connect.
