OK, I've done that. Is this the reason my site is not publishing.

I'd be lying if I said I understood how all this stuff works. I always use the following site for a whois search because I saw ***** recommend it once: http://www.domaintools.com/

Sure sounds like it to me, although Vasili might be on to something with the .ca extension as well. Have you tried using the temporary url listed in your welcome email to see if the pages show up that way?

Yeah, submit a ticket if you haven't already and mark it with a high priority. Also keep an eye on the forum as ***** may swing through with a solution for you.

I got published. The problem was my site registration. There was a loop for the .ca registration that I did not complete and therefore I could not publish. Thanks for all you help. Have a look at my site. I just started with the basics and will improve as I have time. Comments, good or bad, will be welcome.

                          Re: Publishing

I want to publish an initial construction page and have two build - one with MS Publisher and One built with word. How do I import them in to BV?

I think my question was legitimate for a novice. Many of us have used other programs from the MS family for years and are very new to BV. I found that it is not quiet as simple as advertised and so I wanted to get my site up and running to take advantage of the email and then perfect my site. I don't feel your answer was appropriate....

                              tjaxsun,
Vasili was not being harsh, rather just trying to point you in a direction that would have benefited you more. At the top of this forum is a section
-Promote your website. This section is dedicated to looking at ones site and offering advise on how things are looking and working. That's all.

Don't sweat it. Alls good. There is lots to learn here on the forum and with web-building in general.

                              See ya on the forum

Hello everybody. I'm experiencing a similar problem. When I attempt to publish, which is said to have been successful, when I view my page I merele see the following:
                                Index of /

Name Last modified Size Description Parent Directory 16-Jul-2006 17:16 - Apache/1.3.36 Server at www.national1916.com Port 80

Any ideas? I've tried the .ca thing (without knowing what it is) and have reconfirmed my home page as saved in BV as index.
