Having trouble getting a couple of my pages to publish on Internet...

    Hello,

I just created 3 more pages for my hydrocephalus site; however when they published something might have gone wrong because they don't show up on the Internet. I'm not sure what happened or what I did wrong. I was wondering if anyone can take a look and see if they can let me know what error or errors I made and how to correct them so my hydrocephalus web site can be fully operational on line.

The link to the hydrocephalus web site is: www.terrilynnspencer.com/hydrocephalus One of the other members helped me and published 2 of my other web pages for the hydrocephalus site when I couldn't get them to work on the Internet; however, I still don't know what went wrong and how to correct the problem or problems.

Thanks for any help that anyone can provide!

    Hi Terri,
I had a quick look at your problem, and it looks like you have left out the "www." in the link on the GO menu for the pages that don't show.
For example in the case of the "mystory" page, the GO menu link is telling the computer to go to ...

    Good luck

      Hi Terri.

Your problem is caused by the incorrect link. Your link should read :

On Vodahost all domain names are configured to work wither with or without the www. so that shouldn't make any difference.

        Amanda,

As far as the Go menu goes, does it matter if the http://www.terrilynnspencer.com part of the web site is typed first or http://www.hydrocephalus.terrilynnspencer.com is typed first? Also, I always thought that the hydrocephalus and domain name were separated by a / Is it supposed to always be separated by a . instead?

I guess I've seen things typed so many different ways that it is a bit confusing.

I see it is working now with

          in the link.
You cant put a "." in place of the "/" if you have the "terrilynn" first. It won't work. Try it yourself.

But if you have the "hydrocephalus" first, you can have a "." after this word. But you must have a "/" before the page name. So, as Amanda suggested, this works too.

Luckily, we don't have to understand why, so just stick to one or other of the link formats.

          (Thanks Amanda, I learn't something.)

          Regards

Go Menu issues full answered in another of TLS 3 threads, (I forgot which one already).
It would be nice if multiple threads were not started every time a visit to the Forum was made.....
