CPanel and connecting to a DB

Hi,
thanks for your product I'm starting to like it. I would please like to know how do I login to CPanel(username and password) and how do connect my WebPage to a DB(like processing a LOGIN action). I couldn't find any help related to these topics. I downloaded and installed MySql and PHP3.
