the preview opens in the web browser you have on your machine, from here any links should take you to uploaded pages.

As far as I am aware, you wouldn't be able to link from one unpublished page to another without the links looking for the page on your personal PC? Can anyone suggest any different?

Not sure how it works in the BlueVoda software but....

      It is possible.

I will try to be as less technical as possible (unlike in another thread where I tried to describe this). I can elaborate more if you need it.

Here is a standard example link: http://www.yoursite.com/index.html

That link will alsways goto the internet (http://) and look at the webaddress/page.html

      however...

In standard webdesign it is possible to link just to the page name ie: index.html (without needing the entire web address). My problem is that I am uncertain if this is possible in the BV software, somebody else will know.

      ---------

Also, if you are using this method the following info is important...

Lets say you have pages in a folder called folder1. a typical web address would be http://www.yoursite/fodler1/aboutme.html

If you would like to link back to your index page (which is not in a folder) the link must read as follows.

Instead of just writing the link in full. You can easily tell the browser to go out of folder1 and then to the index page. this is simple...

      ../index.html

../ means go back (go out of the folder)

      ---------

if you are goign the opposite way (not out of the folder to the index page but from the index page into the folder then the link should read...

      folder1/aboutme.html

Doing this will allow your previews to work without the pages being uploaded and they will also work perfectly when you have uploaded them but.... Like I said, I have a feeling that entire webaddress must be used in BV so my suggestions might not work. Somebody else will be able to tell you for sure. Vasili where are you ? LOL
