Does anyone know what the new image button in the latest version of BV is for?

Yes- it is an image map tool. Click on it an choose a picture. Then go inot the properties and it will let you designate certain parts of the picture to be link-able.

Lets say you had a a map with three cities on it. You could make each area of the city link to that cities website.
