    Re: protecting pages using php

What you are asking for, requires a Database driven loggin script, which must have the following features:
    1. registration Page
    2. Loggin Page (with a Remember Me feature (cookies) )
    3. Forgotten password page (with relevant script to check atleast the user's email, and if found, to email him the loggin details in his registered email address)
    4. A Database with relevant tables.
    5. A Database Administrator script (that will allow the admin to view, edit, delete, export etc. the records)
    6. A piece of code that will be implemented in the pages that need to be protected.
    7. Eventually, an activation after email feature.

Your script, should have instructions on how to do the above.

Have a look here . If you like it, contact me.
