Uploading MYSQL database

After a completely botched upgrade from 2.0.17 to 2.0.18 I have to restore my forum back to the backup Fantastico took prior to upgrading.

My 'forum' folder is gone, my SQL database has been cleared (no tables are present).
I'm trying to upload using the backup.sql file created by the Fantastico backup. After a long wait I get a page cannot be displayed message and
Cannot find server or DNS Error
Internet Explorer

displayed at the bottom of the screen..

I have retried this 3 times now with the same result...

Any ideas? My users are getting restless..... ;)

This is rather urgent... I'm still cracking on, but still getting the same errors...

depending on how large a file it is, itmight not upload as a whole. Last year year when I had to restore my phpbb forum, I had to break up a 10 meg file into 5-6 small files. Try breaking it up into a few files and uploading.

dont work with me, i have a db only with attachments 518MB, anyone know how can upload so big db?
