Re: PHP files I got seem to have not code

I successfully installed the php files I got (at least that is what the screen message told me) and the new site comes up, but when I try to go to the admin section of my site with my admin username and password, I get an Internal Server error. Would anyone have experience with that problem?

I went in and tried to reset ALL the files for the site to 777, but in one of my folders called admin_settings (which seems related to my problem of not getting to the admin page), when I went back in to check all the files in that folder I notice that the permissions for a few of the files had immediately reverted back to 644. Maybe if I set them instead to 755 they will stay that way? Why is it they reverted? When I changed each one individually they all seemed to take the 777 value when I clicked on OK, but it would not stay that way.
