Trying to Install Wordpress: PHP is not Running!

Hey everyone,

I am making the switch from BlueVoda to Wordpress, and I am hoping everything works out! I went through the whole process, outlined here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress

Once I get to the install part though, Step #5...I get this window:





I really need to know how to fix this...not just for wordpress but also for filling out a FAFSA form....the issue here is PHP not being able to run...and I think this is the problem with any "web thing" not just where VodaHost servers are involved. I tried these tests on Internet Explorer 8 and on Firefox. I have no real knowledge of PHP myself and don't know if I need to install something or just change a few browser settings.

I am using using windows xp.

Warring Dove,

There is a simpler way of installing Wordpress.

First uninstall all that you have done.

Then goto your cPanel and select Fantastico Deluxe.

The select Wordpress and follow the instructions.

Within seconds, Wordpress will be installed in a Folder in your public_html.

Ensure that you write down your Username and Password so you do not forget. You will need them to Login to the Wordpress you just installed as an Administrator.
