I am confused by this..help

I am running vista

I have loaded Cubecart onto my server
and it is working fine.

My Problem is I have a script for a
Contact form for Cubecart but when I follow
instructions it does not work properly.

I emailed the author and he replied with this:

is is a server problem as it isn't registering it should parse the php
page.
Put this into the .htaccess file and save it to the main html directory of
your server:

AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .html .htm

Or there may be an option for you to register php files on your webhost
configuration.

I dont really understand what he means , can anyone help.

where do I find the .htaccess file?

Control Panel > File Manager > public_html/ directory

Find the file, and copy the line supplied at the bottom of the file, close & save the file, exit cPanel.
