Installing PRESTASHOP, need to: PHP magic quotes option is off (recommended)

I am learning all the way, but really do need help here. When installing PRESTASHOP it does a configuration test and now I am stuck. I need to make sure the: PHP magic quotes option is off (recommended).

How do I do It?
Where do I do It?

I am an absolute beginner, any help?
