Create a new MySQL database

Hi,

I'm totally new to MySQL and have no idea how to create a new database. Do you have any tutorial on how to create one?

Thanks ***** for the tutorial.

Now I've created a new database. When I want to install a script, it requires me these,

1) MySQL server
2) MySQL Database
3) username
4) password
5) prefix

What are the exact words I insert in the above field? Where can I locate them?

As for username and password, I use the one that I created the database, right?.

Please advice. Thanks.

2. your database name
3. your database username

5. you can leave it empty
