Loading Data in a MYSQL Database

I am new to VodaHost and MYSQL. I would like to create a database consisting of a roster of people (names, addresses, etc.) and have watched the tutorial on creating the database.

I currently have the information in an Excel spreadsheet on my pc. Is there a way to import the data into the MYSQL database that I have defined?

Are there any tutorials on working with MYSQL?

go into admin in the database and you will find an "import" facility
use that to populate your table...............
