HELP, Oscommerce installation can not be completed

I received this error when installing Oscommerce:

Install OS Commerce (2/4)

The installation can not be completed:
- You chose to install in the main directory of the domain welovegoodies.ca, but there are conflicting filenames, therefore we can not proceed. Following filenames already exist in the main directory of the domain welovegoodies.ca (path="/home/wthfuzfm/public_html/").You must manually remove these files before proceeding with auto-installation:
.htaccess
images

-------- can I please get advise on how to delete the mentioned file(s).

I've been watching tutorials for the past 2 weeks expecially the oscommerce tutorial....I wasn't choosing a directory and I guess that's where I had the problem...I'm soo happy with your site..I really which I would have find it sooner!
