phpbb forum delete

i face configuration problems in my phpbb forum so i delete it from my c panel throw fantastico as i plan to replace it by another forum but when i try to download another script forum from fantastico i got message that i cannot download more than 1 script in my root directory, how to make sure that i delete the old forum and how to install new 1
