Dumb Question?

Hi all,

Sorry but I posted about this 4 days ago and no one has answered...

I don't know exactly how to upgrade to the new version of phpbb2 through Fantastico scripts, since the first install was through fantastico, but now the phpbb2 site says there is an upgrade.

Does no one know what is best to do?

-Uninstall phpbb2 from fantastico then install phpbb2 site's full version OR

-Leave the fantastico version I have then install phpbb2 site's patch??

Wait until Fantastico has the upgrade availabe. You'll know it's available when you go to Fantastico>phpBB2 and there is a link marked upgrade.

Just because there's an upgrade doesn't mean you have to install it immediately (or at all). Most phpBB upgrades are bug fixes and security enhancements so it's a good idea to upgrade, but there's no rush.
