    Hidden Page

    Hello,
I have succesfully published a scan of our company insurance policy as a pdf onto my site (with no links at all from the main site). I only want the customers whom I send the url link to be able to view this, as it is not info I want to share with the world.

I have searched high and low about how to stop search engines indexing pages and found this- http://www.vodahost.com/vodatalk/goo...-indexing.html

however I am don't have a clue how to implement this advice, please could you provide a idiots guide on how to do this?

    Many thanks
    Janis

    Re: Hidden Page

Create both a sitemap.xml and robots.txt file that specifically establishes the Rules to "not cache or follow" the pages/documents in question.

Upload these to the directory to which you have uploaded these files, and keep them both updated after adding more files or publishing any changes to the site.

Use the links above to learn how to do this properly.
