Where is the Root Web Directory?

I am trying to get my site verified with McAfee Site Advisor. I am asked to place a specially named, blank file in my root Web directory. The file is---- sassydoxies.com3ac4810e112693bbb9479d33cc32f20ea8f 82841.txt

Where do I put it? I tried just pasting it in my index page, but that didn't work.

It is your public_html. You need to upload the file into public_html using FTP. Do NOT paste it in a page.
