Javascript menu overlapping Lightbox

I am using a javascript menu (.php method) on pages using the Lightbox feature. Upon opening a Lightbox window the menu overlaps the image. Is there a fix for this? I do not want to alter the physical location of either.
As of now I am using the Gallery feature to resolve the problem but would like to use Lightbox instead.

Hi, only some idea's as something similar was happening with a video clip on another post. LINK
Might be of some help if a transparent tag could be put in place. Also! have you tried putting the light box to the front or the menu back, assuming i have this right.
If you could post a link to the page may help quite a bit as well.
