Index page change publishing problems...

Ok so I recently changed my "Index Page" and revamped everything. "Out with the old, and in with the New". Now, for some odd reason cannot publish the New Index page, it just keeps the old one. Question: "How do I publish a "New" page (that I have been running labeled as a "BETA 1" page) in the place of the old index page?" Thanks for helping guys!

you have to save it as 'index' only a page named the same will replace it..
