hyperlinking problem

Hi guys im building a salmon fishing website and when i link my pages togeather they wont load in preview mode in the browser. I hope im doing it right im on my indes page and i click on rivers button and hyperlink it to the rivers page but when it loads a load of different writing and squares comes up.

Links between your pages will only work when the site is published, not in preview.
