Page size won't stay as set.I forgot to do it at the start of the new page is that why? Does it HAVE to be done then? When I set the size 600x800 and move things around, it changes.

Initially we added the page size feature to fix pages to a certain size.
But some users found this confusing, and so we made the page size change dynamically based on where you've put your objects.
The page size changes only when you move objects outside the current workspace.

Thanks Pablo, is the 600x800 the right size or is it 800x600? And is there any way to keep things that size besides being careful not to go outside the lines?

Currently there is no way to lock the page size.
The next release of BlueVoda will have a feature called 'Guide borders' which makes it easier to keep your pages at a certain size.
