  • publishing questions

    Hello all,

I purchased web hosting from Bluevoda and the domain name on the 1st may my domain name is:

www.stream-memobile.com, and i am having trouble accessing my BlueFTP folder and publishing my pages.

I have entered the I.P address, username and password that i recieved on my introductory e-mail as prompted when i try to connect but i always get the same error message:

The attempt to connect to the FTP server failed.

    Last server response:

View the trace window for more details

    The trace window simply says:

    Connecting to 75.126.124.163
    username .............
    login failed

The same thing happens when i try and publish my pages, have i been a fool and not activated my account yet or do i have big problems. I have tried this many times im sure the i.p address and my user name and passwords are correct and i have an active internet connection when i attempt to connect to my blueFTP folder.

Now im confused, any help would be appreciated.

    thanks Nick

      Re: publishing questions

Sorry im quite new to this im not sure what im looking for:

Package: Vodahost annual billing with domain

Im really not sure where to find my server number, if you could explain how i do that or an example of how it may look that would be great all i seem to find on my form is my i.p address which is:

      75.126.124.163

That seems to be the only number i can find apart from my client I.d.

In VodaHost Billing Services - click on My Sites > My Domains > your domain name > Change DNS > and it will tell you what server you are on. DO NOT make any changes but navigate back and log out. Then you can check here to see which server you are on.

Alternatively, it should tell you in your welcome email. Lol

Okay, I needed to know that in order to find out if your server had recently been upgraded but it hasn't (it was updated in January). So that discounts that possibility. If you are quite certain that you are using the correct cPanel login and password then the next step would be to submit a support ticket by clicking here and explain the problem to them. They will get you sorted out.

I am sorry I can't be of any further assistance, but it has me stumped.
