how to remove deleted file from public_html

i am explaining my problem with example

1 st i publish my web page which contain 5 image and 11 button i access the same while browsing

then i remove 3 image and 7 button so now only 2 image and 4 button left
again i publish the page and again i brows and find my change successfully

but when i logged in to my Public_HTML account i found that initial 3 image and 7 button which i removed is also present here .

so now i want that what is the way to remove it from Public_HTML because to remove every file manually is very difficult


because around 20 to 30 file come here by publishing a single page

so after publishing thousand of page it is too tedious work to search for every file and remove


please help me

go to
tools (top menu bar)
options
publish
then click on the
"use page name for image prefix"

This way you can see and select all the files related to a page
delete them
then republish the updated page..............

what i understand is after doing the above procedure and click ok

then in FTP inside public_html i will get the image as
index_oo1.gif (i am taking example of index page)

but it didn't happened all the image are remain same as before


and if i get something wrong please intimate me to solve this problem

Well it works for me (after I had deleted the original index page) when I republished, so check my procedure once again.
