    error 12029 - sometimes

    Hello,

Very weird thing happening tonight. I have one site that I am trying to publish a new page for (otterskin.com) and I get the dreaded error 12029 message. I checked my firewall, added blue voda to the exceptions and re-booted. Didn't help. So...

I opened a page in a different site (helpingusellu.com) and it connected/published just fine on the first try. Any ideas why one will publish and the other won't?

    Thanks,
    Scott

    Hi Scott,

12029 is under your own direct control.

12029 Error Solution A 12029 error is a firewall issue error. This means that one or more firewalls is
blocking your attempt to publish with BlueVoda. Please follow the below steps:

97% of the time this can be attributed to your Windows XP Firewall Please follow
    the following steps...

    1) Go to your computers control panel
    2) Click on widows firewall
    3) Click on exceptions
    4) Click on add programs
    5) Add BlueVoda to your list of programs
    6) Press ok
    7) Reboot your computer

You have now successfully added BlueVoda to your safe programs list.
You should not have this problem again. If the problem persists. Your
computer might have a secondary firewall from Norton or MacAfee.
You will also have to BlueVoda to their safe programs list.

Also if you are working from an office or you are using your companies
computer or internet connection. You company probably has some type
    of network firewall in place.

Please contact your companies system administrator for instructions.

      Hey Zuriatman,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, those are the steps that I have already tried. BV is checked as an exception. The weird thing is it only gives me the error 12029 when I try to publish one of my websites. I can publish the other website just fine.

The two sites are on different vodahost IP addresses. With that in mind, could it be something that needs to be reset on their end?

      Thanks,
      Scott

No Idea. If you accidently used the wrong id and password enough times its possible they blocked you. Put in a support ticket to see if they have blocked you out.

The problem is not with your firewall is that voda is in the middle of a Server Upgrade so you IP might have changed read the news and upgrade post http://www.vodahost.com/vodatalk/new...r-upgrade.html it will tell you all about it
