I see the closed sticky thread on this subject states that one should insert the the relevant html into the end of body tag, but google says that it should go immediately before the body tag. How to do in BV please.

Re: Inserting Google Analytics code into site
I have the same question please.
When I followed the instructions, google didn't seem to be able to track anything and it was only when I added the code into "inside body tag" (I tried every other and no use) that google started tracking.
However, by doing that, a friend informed me that he could see this code above my banner.
var gaJsHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? "https://ssl." : "http://www."); document.write(unescape("%3Cscript src='" + gaJsHost + "google-analytics.com/ga.js' type='text/javascript'%3E%3C/script%3E")); >
I have removed the code from my index page but I have left it on another page for you to see http://www.earthsbeautytours.com/workshop_lewis.html
My main index page (without the google code) is www.earthsbeautytours.com
Please help to clarify this.
