Can I use coupon V1 now and chose domain name later?

I'd like to take advantage of the coupon for free domain name, but I haven't quite narrowed it down yet... does this need to registered at the time of purchase to use the coupon, or can I register the domain at a later time?

You must select a domain name at time of purchase...The system will not let you create an account without a domain name.
